Financial independence is only one part of a global Plan B. For entrepreneurs, Bitcoin investors and internationally active families, the ability to choose where to live, establish a business and build a long-term future can be just as important.
That is why CITIVERSE will be attending Plan ₿ Forum 2026 in Lugano, Switzerland, on 23–24 October. Cezary Zieniuk, Founder of Citiverse, and Daniel Danner, Regional Director, DACH, will be available to connect with attendees interested in citizenship by investment, residency by investment and practical global mobility planning.
Both welcome opportunities for private, one-to-one meetings during the forum. Whether you are assessing a second citizenship, considering a new residence base or exploring an international strategy for your family, the conversation can start in Lugano.
Plan ₿ Forum 2026: Where Bitcoin and International Opportunity Meet
Plan ₿ Forum takes place at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Lugano on 23-24 October 2026. The event brings together Bitcoin entrepreneurs, investors, technology leaders and professionals for keynotes, panel discussions, workshops and networking focused on Bitcoin adoption, economics, financial freedom, peer-to-peer technologies and freedom of speech.
Confirmed speakers include Paolo Ardoino (CEO, Tether), Adam Back (CEO, Blockstream) and Elizabeth Stark (CEO and Co-Founder, Lightning Labs). The forum is part of the wider Plan ₿ Week programme, which brings additional events and networking opportunities to Lugano.
For Citiverse, the connection is straightforward: people who think seriously about financial independence often also want to understand their options across borders. A diversified portfolio and a diversified mobility strategy address different questions, but both benefit from preparation rather than last-minute decisions.
Meet the Citiverse Team in Lugano
Cezary Zieniuk – Founder, Citiverse
Cezary Zieniuk will represent Citiverse at Plan ₿ Forum 2026, meeting investors, international entrepreneurs and professional partners interested in citizenship, residency and cross-border mobility. His participation reflects Citiverse’s focus on making international planning more practical: starting with the client’s priorities, evaluating suitable jurisdictions and coordinating the steps required to move forward.
Daniel Danner – Regional Director, DACH
Daniel Danner will also attend the forum on behalf of Citiverse. As Regional Director for the DACH market – Germany, Austria and Switzerland – Daniel is a point of contact for individuals and families seeking international citizenship and residency options, including those who want to discuss their plans in the context of the German-speaking region.
Cezary and Daniel will be happy to arrange private conversations in Lugano. There is no need to have selected a particular citizenship or residency program in advance; an initial discussion can focus on the objective, the relevant constraints and the most sensible routes to assess.

Beyond Financial Sovereignty: Why a Personal Plan B Matters
Bitcoin has encouraged many people to think differently about control, access and long-term independence. Yet financial arrangements alone do not determine where a person may legally reside, how easily their family can relocate, or what options are available if business and personal circumstances change.
For globally active founders and investors, the questions are often practical: Could I establish a second legal residence? Would an additional citizenship improve my travel options? Can my spouse and children be included? What happens to tax residence when I move? Which country is realistic for day-to-day life, rather than simply attractive on paper?
Citizenship by investment and residency by investment can provide different pieces of that planning. They should not be treated as interchangeable products — and neither should be confused with tax residency or an automatic right to work in third countries.
Citizenship by Investment: Another Layer of Long-Term Optionality
A second citizenship may be relevant to individuals seeking nationality diversification, additional travel flexibility or a longer-term family strategy. Depending on the program, citizenship may be available through an approved contribution or investment, subject to eligibility checks, source-of-funds requirements and government due diligence.
Citiverse supports clients in comparing citizenship options according to what they actually need – timeline, investment structure, family eligibility, mobility priorities and ongoing obligations — rather than choosing purely on headline price or passport rankings.
Different priorities call for different programs
- Grenada: relevant for entrepreneurs evaluating a potential future US E-2 treaty-investor visa strategy. Grenadian citizenship does not itself grant a US visa; a separate US application and current domicile rules for certain investment-acquired nationals must be considered.
- Vanuatu and selected Caribbean programs: options to assess where a second citizenship, family inclusion or application timeline is the principal objective. Requirements and travel access must be reviewed against current rules.
- El Salvador: its Freedom Passport initiative offers a distinctive Bitcoin-linked route, with a qualifying contribution denominated in US dollars and settled in BTC or USDT, subject to its rules and due diligence. It is a specific program rather than a payment model that applies to citizenship programs generally.
The right outcome is not necessarily the fastest passport or the largest destination count. It is a citizenship that serves a clear purpose and remains workable for the applicant’s personal circumstances.
Residency by Investment: A Practical Base for Business and Family
For some Plan ₿ Forum participants, an additional legal residence may be more immediately relevant than a second nationality. Residency by investment can support a relocation plan, a family base or greater geographic flexibility, without automatically conferring citizenship.
Citiverse advises on selected residency routes in Cyprus, the United Arab Emirates and Georgia, each with different investment structures, residence rights and maintenance requirements.
- Cyprus: qualifying investors may explore permanent residence in an EU Member State, including options involving approved property or other eligible investments. Cypriot permanent residence is not EU citizenship and does not itself confer passport travel rights.
- United Arab Emirates: residence options may suit founders, investors and families considering a base in an international business centre. The route, duration and family conditions depend on the applicable category.
- Georgia: property and investment-related residence options may be relevant to those considering a regional base, with different thresholds and residence conditions depending on the chosen route.
A sound comparison covers more than investment thresholds. Clients also need to understand physical-presence obligations, dependants’ eligibility, business and employment permissions, renewal conditions and the difference between immigration status and tax residence.
What Bitcoin and Digital Asset Entrepreneurs Should Clarify Early
Citizenship and residency applications involve regulated processes. Digital asset entrepreneurs may have wealth generated from trading, mining, company equity or long-term holdings; those origins often require a clear documentary trail when applying for an investment migration route.
A private discussion may therefore address:
- Source of funds and source of wealth – what evidence may be required when wealth originated from digital assets.
- Investment mechanics – whether the selected program permits a particular funding method, and how contributions or investments must be documented.
- Personal, business and tax residence – what changes if an individual establishes a home or spends substantial time in a new jurisdiction.
- Family eligibility and timing – how a spouse, children or other qualifying dependants may fit into the strategy.
- Real-world usability – which status supports the client’s intended relocation or international travel plans, and which rights it does not provide.
Holding Bitcoin does not itself provide an immigration entitlement. Equally, acquiring a residence permit or second citizenship does not automatically change personal tax obligations. Those questions require separate consideration based on the jurisdictions and facts involved.
